HomeStock — know what's actually in your home
A mobile app we designed, built, and shipped ourselves. Track your household inventory, scan receipts on-device, and share it all with the people you live with.
What it does
Everything your household needs to stay organized
Household inventory, organized by room
Track every item in your home by room, category, quantity, and price — always know what you have and where it is.
On-device receipt scanning
Snap a photo of a receipt and HomeStock extracts item names, quantities, prices, store, and date automatically. The photo never leaves your device and is discarded immediately after processing.
Shared households
Invite the people you live with. Everyone sees the same inventory, shopping lists, and spend history in real time.
Shopping lists that stay in sync
Build shopping lists from what you are actually running low on, shared instantly across every household member's device.
Multi-currency support
Track spend in your own currency, wherever you are.
Why we built it
A real product, not just a portfolio piece
HomeStock started as a personal itch: keeping track of what's actually in the house — before another trip to the store for something we already had three of. It grew into a fully shipped product with real users, a real backend, and real engineering decisions behind it. It's the clearest example we can point to of what we build when the client is us: careful data modeling, on-device processing where it matters for privacy, and a household-sharing model designed from day one, not bolted on.
Under the hood
Built on Supabase and Firebase
HomeStock's backend, authentication, and real-time sync run on Supabase. Crash reporting and stability monitoring run on Firebase Crashlytics. Sign-in supports both email/password and "Continue with Google." Full details on what data is collected and how it's handled are in the HomeStock Privacy Policy.
